Hunter Valley Wine
Country is the name we give to the glorious region of the Hunter
Valley between the towns of Cessnock, Maitland and Singleton. This
is the oldest wine grape growing area of Australia and is still home
to many pioneering families that set up home in the 1850s In
recent times the proximity to the major population centres of Sydney
and Newcastle has helped turn the Hunter into a playground for wine
lovers. Recent
additions such as the multi-award winning Hunter Valley Gardens add
to the diversity of things to see and do in Hunter Valley Wine
Country.
