1940: John Younie Tulloch dies and is succeeded by his son Hector. Most of the production was fortified wine, generally sold to large wholesalers.
1941: The McWilliams family buy the remaining half of Mount Pleasant and continue to employ O'Shea as manager and wine-maker.
1944: Jay Tulloch is born, son of Hector.
1946: Maurice O'Shea plants Lovedale & Rosehill vineyards.
1946: The Tyrrell family buy Mr Hipwell's Broke Road
property which they use for grazing
